CBS RECORDS Press & Publicity Headlines INTERNATIONAL KIM LARSEN & JUNGLEDREAMS The Danish rock singer/songwriter KIM LARSEN embarked on his unprecedented career as guitarist and singer in the legendary Danish rock group GASOLIN'. The year was 1971; when GASOLIN' dissolved in 1979, it had become the best selling Scandinavian rock group of all time. KIM started out by quitting his job as a school teacher. Eight years later he had recorded eleven albums with GASOLIN'. Parallel with the group's activities, KIM recorded three solo albums which all have had un- precedented success. One of them he recorded in Atlanta, Georgia with U.S. musicians. So far, KIM's records have sold close to 3 million copies in Scandinavia alone. KIM LARSEN's following in Scandinavia is very wide, socially as well as with respect to age groups. Even the Danish prime minister opened a "Talk to the Nation" address with a quotation from one of his beloved songs. In 1979 KIM came to New York City to live and to launch his career to the world. The current album JUNGLE DREAMS, which so far is a smash hit in Scandivavia, France and Belgium was recorded here. This experience led to the formation of his new band: KIM LARSEN & JUNGLEDREAMS. JUNGLEDREAMS is a coalition of very talented people from the New York City music scene. -—-JOE DELIA: Keyboards, vocals, songwriter, arranger, and producer of KIM LARSEN's current album.
